IFN500 Assessment 2: System Analysis

This assessment focuses on the analysis and design of an information system. The process involves determining requirements and developing several models (detailed in Table 1) that illustrate the results of your analysis for the case study below. The deliverables are organised based on the sequence of your activities in the workshops. Please note that all items in assignment 2 are individually assessed.

Case Organization[1]

LifeStyle is a new company that sells gym equipment to both business (B2B) and direct consumers (B2C) within south east Queensland. Lifestyle is a traditional brick and mortar store that was established in 2016. Recently the CEO strategized to expand their operations to Australia-wide via online methods.

Preliminary analysis regarding business-to-consumer (B2C) relationships, identified that the website should enable employees to do the following:

·      Read information and watch videos about the company

·      Search/browse customisations

·      Create customer profile

·      Place orders and pay online (via PayPal, bank transfer and credit card options)

·      Track orders

·      Get product feedback and comments from previous clients

Despite preliminary analysis being undertaken, the CEO decided he needed some external assistance, and as such hired you as a consultant to perform the deliverables as listed below:

Deliverables

·      Develop a requirements matrix detailing the B2B and B2C functional requirements. For the B2B only detail 6 requirements. For the B2C depict the requirements as detailed in the case scenario.

·      Develop the following diagrams for the B2C component only:

o   Event DFD

o   Use Cases
